
Below: The sluice out of Jewel lake that has been a point of interest
for our little family about 300 times over the past 13 years,
especially in the rainy season. The water used to be directed to
a pipe that led down to a tunnel that ran all the way from the San
Pablo Road side (on the east), built in the 1890s or so, and I don't
know how long it held up -- over to Berkeley.
