Looking down to the lane in back of our hotel in the Marais. I
think the back tire is flat.

St. Gervais. Not on any usual itinerary. Just off the
Seine, close to our hotel. Construction started very late
1400s, with a renaissance front cobbled on 300 yeras later. The
damage on the post is from the Germans' indiscriminate bombardmant
of Paris in 1918 with the Big Bertha artillery piece. They were
innocently shooting at the Louvre, but hit this church by accident,
kiiling 88 women and children at mass. Wikipeida used the word
'tragedy', in a fashion that made it seem like an error of
sorts. Reminds me of plaques I saw in Paris 25 years ago that
used to say 'fusille par les Alemandes' and now they say by the
'SS'.

Pompidou Centre. Beaubourg. Walked there from our hotel.
Incredible early modern collection. This piece by Kandinsky is
amazing.

Hotel around the corner from our hotel.

We rode the metro many many times. About 20. This wasn't
rush hour.

Eifel tower.
