While doing a picture shoot for a PG&E event at Union Square, James came over on BART, called me on his cell outside of Powell Street Station, and with forceful guidance, made his way up Powell Street 2 or three blocks, past the tourists and bums, and followed the cable car tracks to the square. We met. He toured the exhibition, and we went back to BART/Muni and took the N-Judah to 19th street - a short walk from the Park. Lunched on falafels in the back garden of Yumma's, and then strolled to Stowe Lake, where we dithered backward and forward in a paddle boat on a damn hot day, and were fortunate to watch two ducks mix it up for at least 90 seconds, and observed carefully a big dead fish bobbing in the water, among other things.
I took great photos at the event.....not that anyone will ever know.
