The Iowa is out of the mothball fleet in the Sacramento River at Benicia and at the Port of Richmond for initial restoration before being towed to L.A. in May for use as a museum.  The bow deck is currently open to visitors.  If you look closely you will see that Julian's right front tooth is a little lower than its neighbor.  He almost knocked it out against a baseboard on Thursday morning.  It was a full quarter inch lower, but, as Angelica was calling the doctor's office, he managed to shove it back up into place.  The dentist says everything should be okay.  After three days, so far so good.

Below, Julian is in front of the forward turret.  The middle turret, in the picture above, was the one in which the accident occurred in 1989.  47 dead.
