From the past.

Above, 1977 Kansas track and field State Championship 1 Mile. Jim Hogue back right...with Tom Haner of a Wichita school against the rail.. Hogue got smoked by the tall guy in front of him, Tom White of Wichita Southeast, and Doug Peterson of Lawrence (who, at the University of Chicago, did some amazing running (I think he set an American indoor collegiate record for the 1,000) who is probably in the back, waiting to take over a slow paced race.). (photos developed by me in the darkroom on Linden Lane.)
