Non-family related. Harry Truman's ledger
used when he was employed as Treasurer for the Morgan & Company in 1916, and 13 years later to track grocery expenses, including the balance with the store, when he was Presiding Judge of Jackson County. Look carefully, and see how he tallied the columns, example page 3. I purchased this for 50 cents at a used book store on Main Street, in KC, 7/17/81. I was with a girl friend, and when we were there, we heard the sirens of all the emergency vehicles headed to the Hyatt Regency. |
